Taping your watercolor paper down is the best way to prevent the paper from warping and buckling. But the stronger the tape, the more likely it is to tear your paper when you pull it off. I have been using this tape for a while, and it holds a nice crisp line and rarely tears my paper. I'm not going to say never because it can happen. If it does, you just apply some heat with a heat gun or hair dryer, and it will come right up.
